I must confess what annoyed me was the sheer thoughtlessness not only towards fellow 'enthusiasts' but also the 'neighbours'.
Obviously there will be noise but this was a bang (or so) too far,
Never in the history of Beltring have so many been p*ssed off by so few!

I have attended every show at the Hop Farm either as exhibitor or visitor so have seen it from 'day one'.
In the early days Rex and his team did all the work and I believe it was all at no cost to us.I have no problem with him doing well now.
I am not too concerned about how the show is run financially on the basis that if it is worth the fuel cost I will go and if not, I won't.
This argument has been going all that time.
There are things you simply will not see elsewhere, Dragon Wagons, Reo Thunder and not to overlook the astonishing living history displays.
I also had the opportunity to personally thank all of the veterans I encountered. If it wasn't for them we wouldn't be arguing about this.......................

It might be over quickly but I just got off again in time to be woken again and again etc.

Hi
I really enjoyed the show (we have attended every one at the Hop Farm) up until Friday, when there were several 'explosions' during the night.
I appreciate that this is to be expected during the day but at 2am.............?
In the old days we knew to sleep at the opposite end to the IUTA (International Understanding Through Alcohol) boys and thus be able to get some rest but explosions cannot be avoided. So thank you, pr*ts!
I left on Saturday.

Hi
My Pig also had a similar problem and the culprit was the small electrical 'filter' on the side of the block. To my recollection it was about the size of a cotton reel , not the larger round 'box' that feeds the coil. I seem to remember that the filter feeds into this. Shorting/bypassing it immediately solved the problem.
Good luck,
Martin

Hi,
Still for sale although it will be more expensive as it has a new steering drop arm and two new tyres on rims.
I plan to go to Beltring on the previous Sunday.

Hi
No seating mentioned on V5.
The settee does not have a belt and is fitted facing sideways.
Thanks guys.

Hi
Sorry to wake this one up again but I'm afraid I'm still confused.
I have a bed settee in the back of my Reo and it is screwed in so I wonder if this would satisfy the 'proper' seat requirement?
It's just that Madam and I are going to a show and our daughter wants to bring a friend.Madam is happy to read in the back but I don't want any official aggro!

Hi
I had my Reo downrated to 7.5T MAM.

Hi
I always put water wetter in to improve the efficiency of the cooling system.I think Halfords and Frosts do it.
I had a V12 Jag and that never overheated even in heavy traffic or queues.

Hi
I have added 'water wetter' to mine as it reduces engine temperature. Frosts Automotive sell it as do Halfords.
It may also be a bad connection. My fuel gauge has always read low but going over a bump made it read correctly for a while!
Good luck,

I have learnt to no longer give my phone number on milweb. I have an advert running on there at the moment. There are the usual dreamers who reply & there are often mischievous ones, who try to set you up with people who know nothing about the advert. But there are always some who are keen to discuss the finances written with unusual grammar, yet seem strangely disinterested in the "item" for sale, let alone come & look at it.
These I either ignore or reply in Borat speak.
Looks like it was a scam as nothing more heard.
Thanks for all your input.

I am selling my Reo and it was recently on Milweb.
Today I got a call from an agent who has a buyer in Greece (have they any money?)
He hasn't asked for shipment fees and was talking about payment so I said cash or direct transfer only.My bank tells me that the latter is 100% safe.
I have sent pics and await further contact.
Strangely, a couple of hours later I got a call purporting to be from a mobile network who wanted to upgrade my phone for free.
This was suspicious as I have PAYG and only spend about £3 a month. I told him I had no friends!
What made me even more suspicious was they wanted my date of birth! I made apologies and rang off.
Am I paranoid or are they out to get me?
Thoughts please.

Hi
If you PM me with your email address I can send some pics.
No MOT yet as not quite ready....................
As far as I know the engine is an LDS 427 diesel multifuel with whistler turbo. Box is 5 speed but no idea if it is an overdrive unit.

Hi
Sorry for the late reply.
I wanted to use it with a load as a camper . It is now downrated to 7500kg in V5.
Due to a change of circumstances it is now for sale on Milweb under heavy vehicle classifieds and will be on E Bay shortly.

Hi
Our local Imps members ran a minibus up there in the late 80's.
I remember rows of Stollies that were, then, going for £30k to £40k depending on whether they had a Hiab.
The tanks were very impressive and it was well worth the 500 miles+ round trip.

Saw a nice Jimmy (set7?) on the A27 near Chichester, W Sussex. What was going on as we saw loads of classics out and about in that area?

Hi
The batteries on my Reo M35 (2 1/2 T) have died and I need to replace them as it may soon be up for sale.
Please could anyone suggest a reliable source of replacements? All the commercial truck batteries I have found seem to be slightly too big for the container. I would like 'proper' NATO ones if possible.
I am in Sussex and would prefer to collect.
Thanks,

Hi
Try Drop Zone in Bury near Arundel or BDR trading in Worthing. Say I sent you please.

Hi
Yes I had one a few years ago and sold it to a mate who still has it.
The only obvious difference was the 'Luton' type body. It was nice but not military enough!
