  1. Q1 - Heat is the answer, warm the female part up and it will free off (mega fine thread - be careful)

Q2 - We use a 28mm impact socket on a 3/4 dive 3ft breaker bar with scaffolding tube as required.

Q3 - Left hand side of vehicle - left hand thread.

Right hand side - right hand thread.

    Hope this helps

  2. You are in principle absolutely correct.

However these people need to get in perspective that no vehicles equals no repeat public attendance.

That costs involved in restoration and maintenance are significant not withstanding the fuel costs in getting to shows.

We do it for the public to enjoy ex ww2 vehicles as a part of their history and only wish common courtesy to be considered by the organizers in return......

  3. Pity the organisers cant be bothered..................

The 109 ambulance was initialy refused entry.

Umm Posted same time as my entry for 1945 AEC Matador RAF flat.

They never even saw/remembered that or the SAE enclosed.

Sod that they can boil their heads and pay me to come next time.

Even then I will think about it.......................

Come to Kelsall, Astle, Malpas etc to see it.

  4. Guys,

I have a friendly HGV inspector that checks my vehicles over after we are happy with them. Last time we missed a couple of split pins!!!!

Remember your children could be coming the other way when a not so cleverly maintained vehicle hits them.........

In a Matador thats about head height!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MVT and others must set up some standard test. This relaxation of the rules is perhaps one a bit too far.
