Bloody good set of snaps, old fruit.

Parfait!

That sounds like an interesting job. Always happy to help you with snaps.

Andy is correct - I referred in a separate post to the problem of an issue of a peronality clash between the webmaster and another W&P team member which led to him leaving the site. Shame. I have only just begun to sort out my photos. I had technical and other problems to surmount, but got some decent stuff.

I don't know who was there - I had to duck out for personal reasons during the middle of the day.

Irritating.

Snorting Shake and Vac as a form of Gosport Marching Powder has always been a popular pastime on Hayling Island...

She's only got a red face for two reasons at the moment:
Chapter four of that book
or a litre of Bulgarian reisling.
....or both...which is three reasons....I know.

A close friend of mine's father was a young professor at Oxford with Tolkien and Lewis and described them both as "Odd". During the big one he served in the Intelligence Corps and was tasked with learning Russian in a fortnight - which he did. The powers that be were so pleased they had him learn Mandarin a bit later when polarities changed and he had a similar timescale for that one. Same result. Brain the size of a planet.

I can't think of anyone who would be happy to embroiled in a situation where a particular insurance became invalid due to fraudulant acquisition. I do not know whether an insurer would feel bound to honour it in the case of an accident. My view is the same on this as it is on any other issue involving cutting corners - I won't do it and wouldn't encourage it. There is no way a responsible forum like this one should do so, either - and we do not. End of.

Yeah - and he nicked loads of it from John Buchan, anyway.
Lot of intresting Great War analogies in Lord of the Rings, if you know Tolkien's life and read the books with the right mindset. -

You will not find me lazing about watching Sky Sport... not while there is an unseen episode of Cash In the Attic or anything with that little spamhead from Leigh On Sea on the Beeb.

We've sent the death squad round...but they've lost their Oyster card....so please wait up.
Oh so sorry! Will you have to punish me now?:cool2:

We get more like the A Team every day.

I found myself suffering regardless at times.... I do agree with you, though. As a snapper, I needed more light - not necessarily more baking sunshine and the dust - my lens was broken anyway - (again) - but the grey sky on brown mud = dull snaps thing is really tedious. I blame Seb Coe.
I hate to say it but I much preferred the weather we had last week rather than what we have this week. Apart from keeping the dust down, it kept the pollen levels down. Hay fever is very tiresome, I noticed the levels starting to rise on Sunday & a large part of the journey back was slow & unpleasant. Pulling into a rural layby was no solution, my best hope was to keep going until I hit an area with what I assume had lower levels or at least a different type of pollen.Sorry but I'm glad it wasn't a scorcher last week. In previous years I have had to resort to wearing a respirator although that certainly helps, it does open oneself to even more ridicule than usual

A friend of ours was taken ill and had to go home. What his symptoms were are none of my beeswax. Your son has my sincere sympathies and I hope he is on the mend. Bloody shame.

Sorry not to have seen you this time round, Martin.

If they are they're going the wrong flippin' way to Southend!:wow:
saw a pair of muddy socks walking up the hardshoulder of the M1 looking for a washing machine could be out of your bag !:n00b: -
Has anyone spotted a plastic bin bag full of my dirty washing from WP?
-
The boyhood dream...... I never had one. Well done for getting such a bargain...even if it has odds and ends missing.

It is American - but the guys there will be an enormous help to you.
Also speak to Sirhc on this forum - I hope he won't mind me asking. He has restored a MUTT recently and knows stuff. Tootallmike restored the Mutt I have - but all I can tell you is that it has wheels, an engine and other bits that make it go.

The website was well under way until towards the weekend. I was not present and cannot comment, but there was an exchange of views between the man whose job it was to upload the pictures and another member of the show team. He then left the site with all his equipment. This left the Photography team in the soup. We had been working like trojans to cover a lot more things this year and sadly it came to nought in terms of the images being immediately available to view by the public. We have been asked to provide our images for the site to be rebuilt after the event, but no details on a time frame or numbers has been discussed. I will happily upload as much of my stuff on here as soon as I can sort it out.
Best wishes,
Mark
I have just looked at the W&P website and no photos from the 2012 show there yet. They always were done very quickly. Anyone know what is happening?
