  1. I am still mentally divided :shake: on this one half says good idea the vehicles pull in people who have no idea or interest in rememberance, and then there is the oppurtunity to educate them.

On the other hand I feel uncomfortable with the vehicle on rememberance day, which is a day to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, not the equipt used to kill them

Dunno still swinging on both counts :?

  2. Well, the MK 1 doors are fitted and all the MK 2 brackets removed so we are back as the pig would have been in 1970.

So I gave them a coat of bronze green, totally different shade to the rest of pig :dunno:

So Christmas looks like a respray :-D along with refitting the ram, for the interested this will be the early 3 U / channel type which neither Clive or myself have seen preserved.

Made sense seeing Clive's is in it's RUC state, mine was also RUC like Clive's, a sister in fact !! So the reason behind having it in 1970 guise, when it returned to the British army. There are a number of normal MK 1's out there without ram's Paul's flying pig and a few MK 2's.

Just thought a different exhibit, and correct to it's era.

If anyone has any pig pics, especially with the flat 3 bar ram, would like to see :-D

Will try to port some pics of work :|

  3. Pig is ideal for us, all the barbed plastic wire fits in nicely to sell  has presence, like an armoured Transit :schocked:

I like the pig as rare, compared to over the water production. And I have a soft spot for the B series RR motors :-D

And enables us to put our display on in the back, with a security grill over the rear opening :-D

And it's pretty easy to drive

  4. Newer helmet was a million times better :-D

As for SOP's on kit packing, there were set rules as a crow but once you grew up.... you were left to your own devices

As long as you somewhat resembled a member of this man's army ;-)

Never liked the modern type chest rigs etc, you feel like your in a straight jacket... Jack no smart remarks
