hi all in fact there were german POWs at llanbedr there is written documentation for this, i think they were there at the end and after the war, also maes artro wasnt the waaf,s section this was opposite (now sterling exhaust) maes (at least in 1943-44) was the naffi's, cinema, shower block, kitchens and no's 1 and 2 dinning hall as well as a decontamination block, this info came from an ex-servicemen of llanbedr 1943-44 as for the picture on this thread, the "orbs" are most probably airborne particles looks like moisture which is too close to the lens and is relfecting light from the flash into the lens cheers

Hello everyone My name is Laura and im a paranormal investigator. I am the co-founder of Essex Paranormal. We go all over the country investigating haunted locations. This has led to an interest in WW2 and historic buildings (all eras) as we have visited so many and are now seeing many being destroyed. I think its disgusting. As far as hauntings go we have had the most success with locations connected to WW2, maybe because its still very recent (in comparison to some we deal with) i dont know. This is another reason i oppose these buildings being torn down, i know people dont care but i worry about the spirits that were at these locations - especially maes artro as with the amount of research and time spent there - its like they were friends as we would come across the same ones over and over and form a sort of bond Okay i bet your all thinking 'she's nuts' now !! But im not...........well maybe an ickle bit lol I spent a majority of 2005 doing research at maes artro in wales - yet another historic site to be pulled down. We are currently opposing this. I think its awful so much history is being destroyed all over the country and people just dont care. Buildings are being destroyed and replaced with ugly modern buildings with no character. Soon there will be nothing left for future generations to enjoy. We enjoy going to military weekends and re-enactments etc Errrrmmm not really sure what else to add about myself so if you have any questions just ask! lol Laura
