  1. Held at Buntingford, Herts on the 2nd September 2006.

Show opens at 10.00am and finishes at 5.30pm, £2.50 fee (I don't know if this is for joe public or us)

A nice show this one, last year me and tyler went, it is set in a street and has MV's, Hot Rods, Classic Cars and Tractors, Old bikes and Harleys all lined up in the street, everyone comes out to have a look and it is a really nice day out, with live music and a good atmosphere.

    To book call:

    01763 274743.

    Thanks,

    Mick.

  2. I really do hand it to you Jack...... The old Matador is quite a beast!! Does the motor look OK? I presume it has been standing for some time, obviously the breaks will be stuck on etc....

I have a similar case with this Mark 1 Stolly near us, it has sat there for nearly 20 years and it has only deteriated since then, I would love to restore it but (A) I don't have the time and (B) I don't have the tools, the resources etc.

Well Done for being brave.... maybe a few more of us need to be like that at times...

    Thanks,

    Mick.

  3. Oohhh!!! Lots of hills Jack! Your living in the wrong place mate! Come over in East Anglia in the flatlands.... I remember going up this long gradient, I hit it at 40 and by the time I was at the top I was doing 15 or something!!

  4. Hi guys,

Anyone else noticed on the advert for the next Doctor Who episode, Cybermen and modern forces using an open cab GMC. Maybe the old doctor has done a little too much time travelling in the Tardis.......

    Mick.

  5. Hi Rob,

the 432 rides were still worth the tenner i gave the guy!! :-D Why hack more of a course out? Give the passengers a run for their money by crushing out a course!! :-D There is a 432 on milweb for six grand that I find tempting... I just don't have the money at this precise time, I need to sell my trike first and then I will be okay.

    Thanks,

    Mick.

  6. Actually Jack I was only just thinking the other day that you should really try and 'advertise' the site more, on our windscreen stickers for example, on other peoples sites, on milweb, and so on. whatever you can think of. I am sure this would bring in more members and turn this HMVF into a much bigger thing.

    Thanks,

    Mick.

  7. Hi Rob,

Yes we talked to a big guy about 432's, he was from the NLBA, as I am tempted to buy one...

Yes the all green one was the one that had water in the fuel wasn't it? In the end we managed to mount up in the sand and green one. Whoever owns this vehicle I want it...It is exactly the same colour as my ferret!!( I don't even know if I am being serious or just joking with myself....)

    Mick.

  8. Hi,

It was a really good event, the 432 rides were good, all of the old buildings were extremely interesting, especially the old victorian mill with water wheel that you 'were not supposed' to go in!! Anyway the turnout was fairly good although there was not that many joe public i felt..

Steve where was your jeep?? You were there on sunday right??

    Thanks,

    Mick.
