  1. i suggest before you write an essay and bitching you get the facts straight first,a text or phone call wouldn't have gone a miss remember its your vehicle and not anyone elses responsibility,if its left outside things will deteriorate and the weather plays havoc as we all know.

how does it take 2 hours to get there?we go to leyton to see the inlaws and that only takes an hour?in the rush hour it only took me 1 1/4 hours when i worked in barking.

needless to say we have all got problems and dont need it strewn all over a military vehicle forum, the simple fact is you haven't been to the vehicle since october and  a move around was needed, you were informed by the farmer as a matter of good manners.

i would suggest if you go up again you text or phone and then you may get help or not

as for a store undercover good luck .

  2. neil, just to clarify a couple of these, your vehicle was moved  my myself and dave, the rake was put there afterwards so not driven over!

the tilt has been ripped over the winter by the strong winds, snow etc if you'd been up once or twice in the time since october you would have seen this ,the cab cover blew off a number of times and was refitted.

the tyre has been reflated to keep it round and stop more cracking and the engine run on occasion, all this done by myself with no text or phone call from you!

it was moved because we need space to work on other vehicles ,may i suggest you find other storage if you feel its too far to travel.

i understand you've had problems with money and transport etc but a phone call or text just to checkin would of been easy, as for the rust its gonna get worse if you leave it!

  3. went yesterday, got into the car park very easily and through the gate with ease.As has been said before trade stalls fewer and not really many parts stalls.

Arena looked ok but one entrance for in and out so i thuoght it didn't flow as easily as before, but loads of participents.

walking around the fields i thought good amount of vehicles, not as much armour but a good selection.

i thought too many civvy cars around, most not even hidden in the areas which i think lets it down.

overall i think better but still needs afew more tweaks, hopefully the organisers will take some of the feedback on board and make a good show even better, all in all good day even if it took me 2 1/2 hours to get out of the carpark but thats life!

  4. If you can just pop it round the back that will be fine thanks Rob. If you see Stuart the farmer who owns the site let him know its there, he likes to keep in touch with what's going on! :-)

Haven't had a chance to try the valve yet - next thing on the to-do list after making sure the silencer works. :)

After that its a case of some interior cab work including letting a bug bomb go for a couple of hours as I am sick of having to clear a forest of webs before I can get in and work every week :)

if i were you neil i'd make sure its ok to leave it there first as he dosen't like suprises or bits just appearing ask dave!

or see if fred will put it in his container otherwise it may get binned.

  5. hi all,

is there anyway of finding the military reg number from a hull number?a mates saracen is not what he expected, the info he got with it seems to be of a different vehicle.hes is a mk2 apc but the mil reg he got with it seems to be a fv610 as per a photo found on the internet.

so we had a look today and found the hull number 747,this is the only id as the data plate is missing.

    any help would be appreciated
