Hi, Very slow crank [ludicrous slow], new battery, slight loose connection to starter motor, battery grounds good. does starter need new brushes/commutators or rewind? or buy a new high torque starter [fleebay]. rather keep it an original.

I have the opposite. Amp meter not showing any current being generated.Will try a clamp, maybe the meter is US! Its a 1943 Whillys.
Also, being new to Jeeps, it has a very slow cranking RPM
Hi, recently purchased a Ferret MK2/7. Needs new main batteries. Q:what are the best lead acid batteries (12V-60Ah) for the RH/LH side and why? Understand there are package restrictions (L-H-W) if LH battery has an isolator switch. What was the original spec? IamaFerret
