  2. I’m looking for 2 x 20” wheels to fit Leyland Hippo . The plan is to fit them on the steering axle with 12.00 tyres. I have 22” rims on the front with 10.50 tyres but as most of you know it’s virtually impossible to find those tyres. I can pick up anywhere on mainland uk.   9. I have 36x8 tyres on the rear axles of my Leyland Hippo. Can anybody tell me the modern equivalent tyre size please? Thanks

  14. Just to update, I have done a deal for the purchase of a Leyland Hippo I can collect the vehicle myself. I drive for O G Owen Transport from Anglesey. Hopefully, I can collect before the end of May. Then the work begins. Thanks to Olivedrabsteptoe for the heads up.

  16. I m not sure if i was successful in starting a new topic this morning but i ll try again. Im looking to buy a Leyland Hippo. My father drove one at Dinorwig Quarry North Wales about 1967-69 carrying slate from the top of the quarry down to the saw mill at the bottom.It was registered something like Dcc 309e and the second hippo working was I think 310e
