  1. Hi 67 Burwood, just stumbled on your post and thought I could enlighten you with some history on your WOT6. As I am the son of the late Tim Wood who passed in 2007. Your WOT is know to me, it wasn’t owned by my father but by his friend Joe Mcoy, who was a Irish panel beater who lived in Tilbury. I’m certain Joe purchased the WOT from a deceased estate of Sid Parr, - a well known individual in the Newcastle MV club at the time (circa 1990s) I believe Sid had the truck on display for sometime in the (then) military museum in Newcastle. Tim, myself and a group restored a WOT6 at the fort and had it ready for the 45th Anniversary of D-Day in Southsea Common and then onto Normandy in 1989 - how I recall changing gear to 2nd or 4th!!! Once you drive your truck you will know!!!! 🤣 I’d love to know where that truck is now as I lost track of it 20years ago after migrating to New Zealand. I am sure it’s still in action as DVLA lists it as having a valid tax certificate. I recall your truck very well & I think I may even have some pics somewhere of your truck lurking in the attic. Im certain Joe purchased the WOT6 and it is one we towed back from Newcastle, my father, Joe & I were involved with the recovery using a a Austin K9 - a rather scary experience on the A1 on a VERY short solid bar!!! Joe kept the WOT at Coalhouse Fort in East Tilbury until he sold it, his ownership was quite short lived but o do recall it was in very good condition. I recall him taking it to several shows during that time, he never converted it to diesel though, this was how he had purchased it originally i have read your progress on the resto, my father was very proud of the WOT6 & WOT8 models and I know he made a lot of connections with fellow enthusiasts that were restoring them across Europe back in the early 90s Please do post your resto pics, having been involved in one of these before many years ago I know how rewarding the finished truck will be. I know it’s a bit late now but I do have lots of pictures here of our resto back in 87 to 89 of the WOT6 if your interested
