  1. I decided to share a few additional pictures that can be used for comparison of a Locomobile 4 cylinder engine with the 4 cylinder Riker engine.  I will also post a couple of pictures of an original Locomobile transmission.  Let me know what you think.

  2. I am in need of many parts in order to build the Riker truck project.  I was shared a picture from the 2009 Archie Crippen estate auction in Fresno California.  I would like any information relating to the Riker pictured below.  If you know the location and owner of this Riker, currently, please share your information with me.  If nothing else, it would be good to see a complete truck in person to take pictures and measurements.

  3. Here is a picture dated 2009.   This Riker truck was part of the Archie Crippen estate auction in Fresno California.  Does anyone here have any idea where this Riker truck is now and who owns it?  This picture was shared with me on the "Just Old Trucks" forum.

  4. Yes Gordon, I do have both front and rear "original" engine mounting cross braces.  This version of the four cylinder Locomobile engine was surely the most advanced with , five main bearings, long 6" stroke, full pressure oiling and the trademark manganese bronze crankcase.

  5. Hello Gordon,

No the support frame is just that a fabricated stand to stabilize the engine and keep it off the floor.  I am hoping my new friends on the east side of the pond to keep an eye open for bits and pieces that can be used to resurrect this Riker, another Great War Truck..

  6. Here is my WW-1 find and hope to add enough parts to rebuild back to its original grandeur.  This engine is a 1917 Riker (Locomobile) truck engine.   More Riker parts are likely to exist in Britain and other European countries than in the US due to the Great War.

  7. Here are three schematics of the Riker/Locomobile transmission that I am looking for to go with the engine assembly I will also show here.   In need of other Riker items also.  Help me if you can with either your spare parts or reference to someone who may have some extra pieces.  Thanks in advance.
