  1. Does anyone recognise this oiler? Is it MoD or civilian?  it could be RAF as my uncle was in service from about 36 to 1953 and was involved in ground crew work. It is quite heavy - almost 1kg! and is extremely well made. 10.5" long x 1.5" diameter.  Marked "O.S. 6252🔝(without the TOP!!) Please keep clean and use only specified oil".  Nickel plated and in good condition. Any ideas / comments appreciated

    Thanks in advance Bill

  2. Whilst sorting out to down size, I have this ammo box in wood. It's 16" long 4.5" wide and 9" high. Has been used as a tool box probably by my uncle who was in the RAF from about 1926 to 1958.  Check the photos for condition. It's marked .303 Ball Mk 7 ctn P.L 31-12-49 F.  I can post it...is it worth £10 before it goes on fleabay? Bill

  3. That's fine, but I wouldn't have wanted to sell them from under your nose since you'd been so helpful in identifying them!

I've owned two LRs in the past but both S1 86"....

    kind regards Bill

  4. Does anyone recognise these?  Not sure if they have a military application but they are painted green. 18.5" long x 6" to the centre of the mounting holes.  I only have these 4 and they are for sale cheaply if anyone has a use for them.  More pics if required. Thanks for taking the time to look

  5. This book has now sold but I have another title which might be of interest to members especially those tackling pre WW1 rebuilds.

Dynamos and Electric Motors; how to make and run them.  Edited by Paul N Hasluck and Published in 1901.   159 pages with good index and plenty of line drawings & illustrations.  £2 + post would cover it

I don't think they were used this side of the pond but what a lovely find! Everything is there so it should be a doddle. I hope it finds a good home.

A doddle for you maybe;  probably a lifetime's work for anyone else🤣  Bill
