I recently went for a day out at Eden camp, Malton, Yorkshire and was shocked to see so many interesting WW2 vehicles stood out in the open and obviously suffering from years of neglect and weathering. To name but a few, there is a Churchill crocodile tank, American and German half tracks, DUKW, Leyland retriever, Bren carrier etc etc. Does anyone have any connection with the museum???? If i lived closer i would volunteer personally to look after them but with plenty of museum buildings containing nothing but written accounts of various topics it seems crackers that they are destroying such fine artefacts and preserving crap under cover. :oops:

Does anyone know where i can pick up a set of British WW2 canvas webbing handle bar grips for a restoration??? the type used on welbikes and flying fleas etc........ :shock:

KEEP THEM ROLLING!!!!!! The way i see it, if i was fortunate enough to own a Lancaster bomber then i would save for however long it took to get it in the air for just one hour. Most people own smaller jeeps etc for the convenience of garaging/ fuel, but i always feel no matter what the cost, it's irrelevant (within reason) The money we spend on our MV's could quite easily be spent on brand new economical family cars, but we dont......... why not????? BEST OF BRITISH TO YOU SIR!!!!!!!
