  1. My thoughts on this was that most of the Dodge WC51/52's (Cdn APT's) went to the Far East, although I was at a show a few years ago when a veteran from an RArty unit serving in Palastine after the war commented that the Btys had Bedfords MW's but the RP staff had a Dodge

  2. I remember using one of these as part of a Night Shoot during my Skill At Arms Course in the early eighties not only was this fitted to the SLR but the Starlight scope had an IR Torch mounted on the Left to provide additional illumination, I think it was powered by 6 x AA Batteries and naturally fell to the left whilst trying to aim because of the weight.

  3. The jeep is great to drive around the local area but there have been many occasions when getting from A to B consists of a 150 - 200 mile round trip sat on the A1. So the use of a trailer is the most practical and sensible way of getting to a show in comfort. I also drive to Beltring a distance of 350+ each way and vow on my return not to do it again (until next year) going to Ursel in Belgium costs about the same and that includes the ferry but a lot less road miles.

  4. To check the tappets, you need to Remove the RH front wheel, the splash shield, the fuel pump heat shield, the ventilator and pipe and finally the vale spring covers. The tappets are adjusted at normal working temperature.

  5. Had mine done at the end of September and it was recorded as a Hotchkiss Jeep. The first time I took it in for an MOT the tester was having to go and check his reference books to see what it was exempt. there has been no change to the actual MOT just more time is taken with putting the information onto the computer system
