David Crouch has one of the best Martians I have seen for a long time in his yard, ready to show, beautifully presented. A friend of mine knows the man who owned it until David bought it and he spent a fortune restoring it. If anyone wants a good Martian ring David at Crouch recovery as it wont hang around.

She Looks imaculate, what sort of money is it?, pay particular attention to the wiring, look in the front panel in the passenger footwell, open the door and inthe secondary compartment, lots of wiring and relays, I know someone who had a nightmare with his..

There is a flat bed body that sits behind the Hiab.

Welcome to the forum mate, we are in Epping,Essex, badly infected with Military recovery vehicle madness.

Anybody have any advice on registering a Russian Kraz 255b.It is late sixties 6x6 and has a Hiab on the back. We were hoping to avoid plating.Any advice would be most welcome.

The Stolly is actually sold and awaiting collection. Had some great adventures in her, she has been swimming in Holland,Germany,Belgium,Norway,France and on the Thames,Various lakes in the Lake District, rivers etc in the UK. Sad to see her go but new projects await.

Yes the Berliet only has four seats although you can walk all around the cab.The engine cover is huge and the front winch is behind that so it would be tight to fit any more seats.
-
Best bit about the Berliet is that she is multifuel.

There are Two anchors that fit to the front or rear of the truck as on the M54 5 ton wrecker, but I am not impressed,I think we will look at a modification.

I know Mike but I can drive it to shows for him and he can drive it on the many acres of concrete roads and tracks around us (private ground).Ben is not like most 18 year olds as he has no interest in cars, music or playstation games,he lives for trucks and military vehicles. He had his first vehicle at 13 and has had many since,he is now starting a vehicle collection and I figured that a wrecker would be prudent. As I say he is not a regular 18 year old,he left school at 13 as we opted for self Education and he has been working in the family buisness ever since. Some of our mates have huge collections and I think he is influenced by that.Look forward to meeting you at Rushden when we pick up the Brockhouse wings.

No, That is too dear, ours came from Essex and is a properly sorted one,ie; All lights uprated, marker lights on rear body, even came with lots of contam fuel, we are well pleased with it.

Well done Mike, look forward to seeing the Antar in action at Dorset.
-
I have followed your plight with great interest and after watching your Antar in the arena at Dorset last year really felt great sadness at your predicament. I run big trucks myself and know only too well the frustration when they break down. Glad it is all over, will look you up at Dorset,(my mate Andy has the Douglas Tug in the arena) and buy you a Beer, regards,GOLDFINGER.

I Ran a Foden FH70 and enjoyed every minute, sold it to David Crouch and now run a Foden 8 wheel beavertail that was previously a GS cargo army truck. The Foden origionally had a Rolls 220 but now runs a 305 Rolls and has had a Fuller gearbox instead of the Foden 9 speed. I carry my Alvis Stalwart on her .
