  1. Yes well done Tony. Dam it these are getting far too easy or the audience is getting far too clever :dunno: Anyway I thought I was being very cosmopolitan with my choice of vehicle ;-) 1958 US Army Engineer Research & Development Laboratories, Fort Belvoir
  2. A useful guide is that on these relays: Windings are W1 & W2 Contacts are C1 & C2 Just watch out when replacing relays, sometimes relay contacts are normally closed rather than normally open
  3. Canvas bag on the front nearside wing? If it was a bag probably an owner fantasy embellishment, like many preserved MVs suffer from. There should be two webbing straps there for a cam net. On the other side there was sometimes a supplementary generator for FFW & FFR versions, as the 25A output from the engine gen was inadequate for that role. Sometimes owners will fit them on APCs just because its another bit of stuff to have there. Rear wings, well no formal rules for what went in them. Presumably things like starting handle, intervehicle jump leads, rope etc Anyway that's what I keep in mine.
  4. Does it have a solenoid fuel cut off that is jammed on or a voltage to it that continues after the ignition is turned off? Some S3 FFRs had the idle increased to 800-850 rpm & to stop run on, a solenoid operated fuel cut out was fitted. PS Sorry I see Richard has already suggested that!
  5. Well you never know! I, sorry we, came joint 2nd in dog cross country/obstacle race. Ended up the dog pulling me over, wanting to go one direction, me ending up on all fours tugging/dragging the dog over the finishing line.
  6. Yes absolutely right, a double well done. So you can sleep contented tonight then! I can because I came 6th in a dog with the waggiest tale competition :-D
  7. Yes exactly right, well done Richard. Size does matter & everyone seemed to miss the clue about size in an earlier reply. Just for the finale, cos it ain't over yet, what was the purpose of this cover?
  8. Jack, don't let him lead you astray.
  9. Nope, but you've missed a clue about size earlier.
  10. Nope & anyway this thing is not just for horses
  11. No, no, no, yes that's true we've got some here, no.
  12. Getting warm. No, yes, yes, no, no.
  13. Well if it was proven to work, I'm sure Jack wouldn't miss a marketting opportunity for some & inscribed Don't blame me, HMVF made me do it - its all Jack's fault :-D
  14. Ingenious but not its proper function
  15. Hadn't thought of that, but it isn't. This a ground based item.
  16. Does it help seen the other way up?
  17. Nope, ingenious, but it's much bigger than that
  18. Nope, ingenious, but it's much bigger than that
