  1. Good you've picked up on its shape which is important. Very logical suggestion for the shape & for the holes but afraid it is not the answer.
  2. Feasable but no the penentration would be much too deep. I gave out a big clue in an earlier answer that nobody has picked up on yet.
  3. Interesting idea but nope. You need to study the shape.
  4. This was not the purpose although it would have bled a bit.
  5. Yes Lee, there is certainly a similarity, but this has quite a different purpose.
  6. So you've been peeping, there's always one, or several I expect! Not on a vehicle, but it does release something.
  7. Would have been possible I suppose but wasn't.
  8. Neil I got your google invite & am very tempted. But know you've spoilt it by mentioning setting up an IMAP, which sounds rather scary. I hoped I could just slide in the google thing without having to do much fiddling. I have emailed Mailwasher to see if the known spam from their database can be blocked without me having to download the preview & then sit & watch it being deleted when I press the button.
  9. Graham it certainly would be painful
  10. Neil it does look a bit that way but isn't a chipper. (Seems quiet tonight, last night with MO No.81 - I couldn't keep up with the replies)
  11. OK everyone I was just about to have a google at it, but Daniel as I have Thunderbird I might try that. Didn't realise it had a mail bit to it. Mailwasher was fine but it takes such a long time if you have to watch all the spam on preview & watch it get deleted again. PS Mick I see AVG do a 30-day trial so might try that if all else fails.
  12. Yes I would prefer to keep my existing email & just use google to acts as a filter. So if I send an email I don't have to route it through google, I just do it as normal? But I assume all emails are received via google as a sort of proxy. Does that cause problems when a bank mails me as it has to go to google first or does that not matter as the bank doesn't know it is going through google? Sorry for being slow, once I have done it I'm sure it will be obvious. But just want to make sure I'm not getting involved without something I might regret.
  13. Ok thanks both. I don't quite understand how I can route my freeserve address through it. I went on to their, site lots lots of fancy things like making labels! But couldn't find how it would work in practice if I want to use my existing freeserve email. Couldn't find any FAQs that covered that.
  14. Mike OK thank you. Is that a freebie or subscription based? Is it previewed or whatever gets past the filters then downloaded. I have abandoned OE for Firefox & use Thunderbird as my browser, both seem to be easier to use & make feel I'm more in charge of things. Mail Washer pro is quite good. There is stuff that is flagged up from a known database that you can delete straight away. Doubtful stuff is flagged up to delete & you can click on each to report it. I derive some satisfaction in reporting it knowing that it will more quickly end up on everyone elses blacklist. The problem is that anyone who has not contacted me before seems to always end up in the doubtful pile & unless I preview each message albeit it briefly they can get blacklisted & deleted.
  15. Can anyone suggest an easy email provider please? I fed up with spam although I preview everything on Mailwasher Pro before I download anything but it is tedious. I don't want to change my service provider, but I want to discontinue using my email address with them. Is there anything cheap or free I can use with minimal hassle? I wanted to keep the old email running for a while & then when the new one is established pull the plug. Thanks.
  16. Ah I forgot the great crash, so maybe MO 81 is actually MO 85 or so? Prize? Well you could look come & look at my gold fiche or even sniff my EMERs, there might even be an oily thumb print of yours on some of them!
  17. Yes that was the other motive for asking. I have a standby generator & whenever I need it I find that even once I have got it started it does run very well. In a power cut situation it is not easy to find fresh fuel & fill it up. but also there is the issue with gunge formation in the carb. I notice the last garden 2-stroke machine I bought it says. Only use fresh fuel & mix up with oil at the time you use it. So the issue with the vehicles I suppose is to try to prevent what fuel I have from loosing its oomph over winter but also what happens to that fuel in the carb will it breakdown into gungey products? I always try to use syphon off the fuel that I can recover & use it up on garden stuff. Of course I must discipline myself to run all the engines every few weeks to keep the carb free. But I wonder as this preservative keeps the fuel up to standard does it also discourage clogging in the carb?
  18. Sorry Richard didn't mean to imply it was anything other than powers of logic & cunning in achieving a triple bullseye answer. Out of 81 objects, I think your score would be way up in the 70s?
  19. Not really, I think if you went to a special clinic & said you had been treating yourself by dusting with DDT powder they would explain that delousing was not going to effect a cure. Insects such as lice cause typhus, trench fever & relapsing fever. Syph is caused a spirochaete. It reminds me at school a kid got given an English dictionary & was inscribed "A present from Auntie Phylis". Some rotter added an 'S' to the front of her name.
