not sure about that I know about it in a commercial field as i am a transport manager I would think he can do it under historic tax as long as its not hire and reward and any how a Quad would only do 20mphThat's how I understood it too but at a show 2 years ago there was a guy with a Quad, limber plus gun & he said as the Limber is the braked trailer then its only classed as one trailer (or something like that) is he correct ? -
What sort of money is a reasonable offer?
£200 ono I dont know if winch works or not as I brought the Crossley with it on but i cant see no reason that it would not work it was in use regularly then the lorry was parked up and left because the people i brought the lorry off gave up the timber business
Thanks

Not sure why I thought of this, I have been watching "outback truckers", in the United Kingdom what are the rules on number of trailers allowed to be towed, I have seen the fair ground lorries and they seem to tow two if you include the articulated trailer
I the uk you can only tow one trailer at a time you can only tow more than one at a time if you are Licence as a showman i.e fair ground or circus you have to apply for this and there are certain restrictions.

Found out why the brakes are on the front axle on my Brockhouse trailer the farmer who owned it swoped the axles around so the front is on the back this was so he could put the hand brake on the draw bar, so I am now putting it back how it should be
thanks:-D

Is there anyone on here with a Crossley Q type 4x4 lorry? Wartime vintage used by RAF, there were some used with signals house bodies, and shorter ones towing Queen Mary trailers, and an open cab crass tender.
I have some information that might well be of interest to someone who owns or is restoring one. Last saw a restored one in Essex / Suffolk area, many years ago.
Hi I have just brought two Crossly lorry's one was a GS body and the other one most definitely was a tender they are both a bit of a wreck the Gs one is just a chassie with wheels and engine with no carb and no mag or dynamo and some one took the heads off the heads are still there but have let the weather in. The tender has the cab but rusted through and the tank is missing and a lot hole of stuff missing if i didn't rescue it they were going to be cut up for scrap so any one have parts manuals or any thing to do with a Crossly Q type ww2 would be very much appreciated.
Thanks:):nut:
