  1. Hello Terry, Sorry we don't have any spares but we do have a pair of the same hubs but we are making a set of wheels for a Boer War era Pom Pom gun that is located at another of the Qld Museums campuses. I will get some photos of them for you. Ray
  2. Here is a photo taken a couple of weeks ago. The finish as is will be preserved & not repainted. Ray
  3. We are reasonably sure that these are English made due to the timber used. The undercarriage has oak & ash while the tray appears to be western red cedar. There were Australian makers but we haven't found any evidence of Metro making them here. The Australian made one that I have seen didn't have the E at the start of the serial number. Regards, Ray
  4. Welcome Tim, I work at Cobb & Co in Toowoomba. We are in the final stages of preserving a 1916 GS Wagon. It also has a Metro makers plate on it. The serial No it is E115585. We have a set of blueprints obtained from the Australian War Memorial. Ray
  5. Hi, Does anyone know of any suppliers of Number 22 steel, slot head screws 2 1/2 inches long? We can not find a supplier in Aust. We need them to reassemble our GS wagon. Regards & thanks in advance for any help. Ray
  6. Hello, I work at the Cobb + Co Museum located in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. http://www.cobbandco.qm.qld.gov.au/ We are about to commence a conservation of a Model x WW1 GS wagon. It is in good condition as the family that owned it had purchased it around 1947 and when it was no longer in use it was placed into a shed with some other horse drawn vehicles. The vehicle was manufactured in 1916. It is missing it's tailgate & we will need to manufacture one. We have a set of blue prints however the details of the tail gate are a little unclear so if anyone has a photgraph of the hinge details it would be appreciated. I will load up a couple of photos later today if I get a chance. There are a couple on our facebook page & the progress may be posted there. https://www.facebook.com/CobbandCoMuseum/timeline The team working on it will Andy who is our Workshop supervisor/ manager, Jeff our curator, myself, our regular volunteers & members from Soldier On. http://soldieron.org.au/ Look forward to the exchange of information as we go. Regards, Ray
