Ta for the info re. 4trak engine. the 2.25d is not brilliantly healthy but it'll need to keep going a bit longer yet. Hadn't thought about that conv. Sounds straighforward, so I'll look into it. Best. Daz

Rob-Have you tried Brookwells for Land Rover parts? Quite local to me but they have a website and do mail order. They carry many more bits than the website shows. I sent them a list of parts I need and they called me with a price by return. Just a thought. Cheers. Daz

Well mate, they say a change is as good as a rest! I've never had springs from Paddocks, so I'll steer clear. Glad you mentioned it as I've got the 2a to rebuild when I get home at the end of the month. I've not had any trouble with other stuff from Paddocks (fuel tanks, rads etc.). Good luck. Daz

How's the engine job going Rob? are you having a bit of a breather now you've got it out? I'm itching to get on with my rebuild but have to do the land rover first. All good things come to those who wait I supose! Good luck with it anyway. Cheers. Daz
