Thanks guys, but I thought a brand new track had only 92 links - am I wrong?

Why did the Germans go down this route? I know the many advantages of rear drive sprockets, but what are the advantages of having them at the front?

Sight? No, they were not illuminated, even in daylight they were hopeless, and the only usable technique was to hosepipe rounds into the target area - I stopped short of saying "onto the target"!
