  1. Hi Tony, This is the M24 Chaffee model tank. Note dollar bill for scale. Regards, Steve
  2. Greetings, I worked in Thailand for 10 years before taking semi-retirement from the oil industry. While in Bangkok I purchased a scale model, all steel, M24 Chaffee tank at the Chatuchak Weekend flea market in 1998. The hatch opens, the track and wheels move, etc. I do not know the origin of the model. Perhaps it was a gift to the Thai military from the manufacturer or the US Army. The model is very detailed, with all the hand grips, antennas, storage boxes, etc, and looks fairly old. Any information you may have would be welcome. Steve Foster Reno, Nevada
  3. Greetings, While working in Thailand during the 1990's I purchased an all steel, detailed scale model of the M24 Chaffee tank at the Chatuchak Weekend flea market. The model is 20 inches long and looks old. The hatch opens and the track rotates. It came with a display board, which had plaques at each end. The plaques are missing. I suppose the tank was a gift to the Thai military from the manufacturer or US Army. If you have information about such a scale model, please contact me. Steve Foster Reno, Nevada
  4. Greetings, My name is Steve and I worked in Bangkok from 1990-2000. In 1998 I purchased an all steel old scale model of the M-24 Chaffee tank at the Chatuchak Weekend market. The model has all the details of the real tank and the wheels rotate when the tank is pushed. It came with a teak display board, which had rectangular metal (?) labels at both ends, now missing. I suppose the model tank was a gift from the U.S. Army or the manufacturer (Cadillac?) when Thailand purchased some Chaffees. Does anyone have information about these models? I tried to attach photos but they were too big (3.3 mb). Please advise. Many thanks, Steve
