Hi Robin
The chap I bought it off was told this when he got it from the dealer LMS in Lichfield (still a main dealer for MT parts). Not 100% I know that's why I said apparently. It has got the right hand sidestand which I think indicates it was used in mainland Europe, but I may be wrong. Doesn't seem to be much info out there at all.

Nearly finished giving my Armstrong MT500 a spruce up, (that would be "major project" ). Apparently the bike was from a REME unit in Germany and I was wondering if there should be any markings of any kind on it. Despite doing a lot of searching online I can't find any useful info. Anybody got any ideas?

Superb as usual Tony.

I must say there does seem to be a lack of decent information anywhere regarding this, just a lot of speculation. Even the official sites don't really have any helpful advice. We are staying at Hermanville so it could get interesting :cool2:.

Hope you have a good day, we shall be across the water with the jeep.

Good news. We are staying in Hermanville in a beach front house ........ I suspect it may get busy.

Had an incomplete one of these in a box with a load of parts when I bought my jeep, have been using it to lie on when working under vehicles. Thought it was part of an old truck canvas...............now I know what it is.

I've got ordinary black and silver on my jeep but me and a mate were talking about it the other day and I was just curious as to the legallity of it.

Having attended many shows and events over the years one thing caught my attention, and that is the practice of stencilling the vehicle reg number on the front bumper and/or the rear bumper/bumperette. Is this legal, and if not has anyone ever been caught for it?
