  1. Thank you for the warm welcome everyone! Hi hummermark, yes I collect gas turbines. I'm currently replacing the rear bearing and inner-race on a RR Nimbus that's being converted to afterburning thrust. I have a friend called Andrew Pleszko who has already done this and made the loudest thing I have ever heard in my life. There is a vid on the 'tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8rMP1vvur0 I've got two Isotov GTD-350's (one is drag racer Devid Pertue's that's being serviced), one Rolls Royce Nimbus, one Plessey Dynamics Solent and a Motorlet M701c-500. Do you mean you got your Rover pumps from Pounds scrapyard in Portsmouth? I've heard so much about that place but missed it's glory days by a wide margin, more's the pity! If you ever want to sell one of yours, or know someone that does I'm on the hunt for one! Lovely little engines, and good exercise if you don't dislocate your shoulder or have a heart attack starting the thing...
  2. Hi everyone, I stumbled across this forum while searching for information on Rover gas turbine water pumps (registered to PM a member). I don't have any military vehicles but I do have a number of military gas turbines (http://www.cursorkeys.com) so I hope no-one minds me joining! In spite of my ulterior motive this looks like a great forum and I'll be taking a interest in anything enginey! Best regards, Jon
