  1. Hi Willyslancs.Indeed I did work at TVR in the machine shop. Are you the same person I sometimes saw in his jeep when he came to work in it.I seem to remember somebody from the r and d building also liked military vehicles he had a Scimitar self propelled gun - is that correct?I think his name was Andy? cheers Stuart
  2. Hi Paul.I think to make things work I`d need to have a dimensional drawing or a sketch to work from for what you would like fabricating along with the thickness of the material etc.I can get my hands on both stainless steel at 1mm thick and mild steel at between 0.9 to 1.6 mm in thickness.I can do any number of folds both 90 degree and any angles you wish down to 30 degrees. It would be ideal to actually see the required items in situ but I know in some cases that isn`t going to be possible due to distance.Do the forum members meet up at any times during the years and if so where? That might be a good oppurtunity to see who would like what doing. cheers, Stuart
  3. Hi Willyslancs.I see that you live in the Fylde like me,I live in Fleetwood and I work in Blackpool. So if you require any brackets or sheet metal work doing perhaps we could meet and you could show me what you need and I`ll see what I can do for you. cheers Stuart.
  4. Hi I am a new member to the forum from Lancashire. My name is Stuart Leadbetter and I have a big interest in military vehicles.I dont own any of my own but I would like to do in the future at some stage finances allowing of course! What I would like to be become involved with is if anyone on the forum requires any assistance engineering wise with their own military vehicle projects.I am an engineer by trade and I use CNC brake presses and a Pullmax CNC punch at work so I am experienced at fabricating and can use oxy acetylene torchs and plasma cutters. If anyone needs a hand at forming any components for their vehicles I would love to help out in any way I can.I can get my hands on a fair quantity of scrap metal sheet at work in thickness ranging from 0.9 to 1.6 mm.I then have the capacity to cut, fold, tox, pop rivet and weld(if I ask my fellow workers nicely) any number of components. If anyone on the forum could let me know if they need any help and what they require dimension wise and component wise perhaps I can help,I certainly hope I can do so. I look forward to reading the forum and I hope to hear from the other members soon best wishes, Stuart
