  1. Well, I am no specialist on bullet holes, but they kind of do resemble genuine bullet impact holes I have seen on buildings here in Poland. Still, could be a good talking point at shows!

the holes seem to be in different places not all in a line and theres no thread in them either so they just might be bullet holes

  2. as you can see , I got the cleaned up bits in primer today. so moved onto the next bit.took the 3 cages off . 2 look to be jerry can holders but the 3rd one is far to small for that so iam thinking its for a gallon of engine oil.on the good side the air bottle seems to be in good condition witch is a good thing. iam half way though cleaning this area up now .

  3. What diameter are those bullet holes in the plating? Are they only on one side of the vehicle?

they are down one side . they bulge out on the inside and are about 6 to 8 mm . Its my son who thinks they are bullet holes . I am not so sure .

  4. got the air pipes cleaned up around the gearbox top , bottom and inside of the chassie cleaned . front propshaft cleaned up and one end of the gearbox to transfer box propshaft. . I will spend another day cleaning and chuck some primer on sunday .

  5. got a week off work this week so got a day on the old girl. started to get the gearbox cleaned up and chassie rails around it . all the air compresser cooling fins were full with mud and grease that was rock hard. second photo is of all the ash ready to make a new cab out of.i have got to let it season for a while so will carry on with underneath.

  6. I have been trying to get as much done as I can before we start the rally season with the steam engine. but the odd hour here and there all helps push it along . should be getting the new ash for the cab frame soon but need to get all the riveting done first before I start fitting the cab again.

  7. only got 2 or 3 hours on it this weekend . cleaned up the rest of the frame behind the cab and primed. then spent the rest of the time scraping more mud and old grease from the chassie around the gearbox. hopefully I will get a bit more time next weekend.

  8. had my 16 year old son spraying son bits for me today while I cleaned up some more of the framework behind the cab. I sprayed them bits in .one of the photos shows what I think are jerry can holders underneath the armour. 2 of the photos shows what possibly bullet holes in the side. there are 4 or 5 of them down one side in different places . they don't seem to have a thread in any of them. on 1 or 2 of them it has pushed the armour out a bit on the inside . does anyone know what they are or what they did . I would be great full for any imfo. thanks .
