The bolt hole centres for the Land Rover type Dixon Bate pintle are 3 3/8 inches apart horizontally and 1 3/4 inches apart vertically.
Mine is mounted about 24 inches from ground level, higher than a towball would be mounted.
There is also a larger truck type pintle available with a different bolt hole pattern.

Hello all, I have recently bought a Sankey Widetrack Mk2 trailer and I'm very pleased with it.
I'm giving it a bit of a tidy up and service, the brakes are being re-lined and I've noticed a bit of play in one of the wheel bearings that I need to sort out.
Other than that it is a solid beast, I've written to the RLC Museum to get its B card, I'm looking forward to finding out its history.

I bought a tin of smooth silver Hammerite a couple of weeks ago and it is definitely not water based, it has a high VOC label and the brush needs to be washed in hammerite solvent (or petrol )
I found the silver version much easier to apply than the black, which is like painting with treacle.
