  1. Wildo! thanks again for the response.
  2. Thanks Clive, yes i was aware of the evolution from VPK to HVPK but any info you have will be gratefully received. I will be at Overlord so catch up with you then, i will drop you a message nearer the time to arrange a meet. Paul
  3. Hello Clive, thanks for the response, yes shame you are not in the county now, i have been collecting bits of the kit for some time and now have enough to make a start when the base vehicle arrives, hopefully in the spring. I managed to get a close look at a complete piglet last year and took lots of photos but I'm not sure about the two-part plate that covers the bulkhead there appears to be spacers between the plate and the bulkhead, should of paid more attention at the time. also when the time comes, fitting the large plates to the side of the rear tub, was there a drawing or pattern for drilling the holes in the correct place do you know? Paul
  4. Hello, planning to start my next project when the weather warms up a bit, would anybody know where i could lay my hands on a copy of the fitting instructions for the HVPK Armour to a 109" S111, any drawings would be especially helpful to identify any other bits I may be missing. many thanks Paul
  5. I am looking for a ventilator & dome to fit on my HV VPK roof , does anyone have one lurking at the back of their shed???
  6. I am just getting started researching the history of my latest project vehicle - 90KA90 is a left hand drive 109'' FFR, i know from the record card that she spent most of her years with 12 AD Regt RA 1984 - 1997 in the BAoR then was sold off at Aston Down. She has been stored pretty much untouched since then so is very original. I presume that she was some sort of a command post due to the modifications in the rear body ( additional heater and large electric ventilation fans in the hard top) there is no mention on the record card of any deployments but beneath the last couple of coats of NATO green is a layer of desert light stone paint, 12 Regt deployed 2 batteries on Op Granby is it likely 90KA90 went with them? where could i confirm this? also on top of her final coat of paint the IFOR markings are still intact, I found a faded Army Form G8225 behind the drivers seat (too good to be true) it clearly states that the driver 'Argyle' drew 101 litres of Gasoline from the Zetra fuel point in Sarajevo on the 11th Oct 1996, but i cant find any record of 12 AD Regt being deployed there at that time Any information about what my Landy may of been used for in an Air Defence Regiment would be gratefully received, and any pointers to confirming her use with IFOR and possible time in the Middle East would be great too..... thanks for reading HT.
  7. so i have decided to bite the bullet and fit a hard top to my Half Ton FFR to keep the wind and rain out, after many years stored under cover it has to move outside onto the drive this winter to make way for a new project - now what about the unitary radio station leave it in or take it out? i seem to recall, many years ago in a former life seeing an in service hard top FFR with one inside or is my memory getting fuzzy!? second thing what to do with the HF antennas can anybody shed any light on this......comments and suggestions appreciated - many thanks.
