  1. I am Bazza (Barrie) from Northwich, Cheshire. I am married to Barb and between us we have four grown up daughters and six grandchildren. I work for the fire service now in a non operational role, I was originally a fireman....and am very much interested in fire service history and vintage fire engines. I am the owner of a Honda Pan European ST1300 motor cycle and am a member of a marshaling group, we assist in marathon runs and long distance cycle events, I have recently sourced a rear lighting pod from an ex RLC Pan escort bike which has now been fitted to my bike, the quest for information about this brought me to join this Forum.
  2. Thanks for that Mark.......yes we do have radios fitted, they are the 'taxi' type radios, I have mounted the set in the pannier and have changed the 'whip' for one trimmed to our freqs, I need to know if the aerial base has a loading coil or anything similar......it does allow the radio to receive, I have not used it to transmit as yet as I am a bit reluctant to risk blowing up the set should there be a mismatch with the aerial.
  3. Is anyone aware of the type of radio equipment the RLC escort 1300 Pans use Please. I have a rear 'pod' from one of these bikes and it has a radio aerial and I am trying to find out what type it is.
