  1. Tim i am just about to make the Tamiya 1/35th M8 Greyhound...

    Hi Lloyd

It's Paul (bigredone) that's made the greyhound, not me.............I've got a deuce, weapons carrier, command car & two jeeps to finish before I think about any armour :)

  2. The zip is it either TALON...CONMAR.....or SERVAL because that could date them to WW2

    Hi Lloyd

The zips are Talon, If I remember rightly I got these from the U.S on Ebay & I think they were listed as M43 winter combats.

  3. ........where is that banned button

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

  4. Ok anybody know what sort of trousers these are?

They are lined, two pockets at the back & zip & button up at both sides, unfortunately the label is too indistinct to make out. Are they ladies winter combats?

  5. They're nice Paul, I've got a half finished deuce here at the moment (bit like Jack really)

Are they straight out of the box or did you use any of the fine detail add on kits?

  6. Hi Steve

The Sherman & Pershing are both Tamiya 1/16 R/C versions. The Stuart & jeep are both 1/6 scale kids toys but none the less bloody impressive for what they are. The jeep is just a static model though.

  7. jack,

a few ideas for you to think about, ladies section, green girlies, corsage & corsettes & female fancies

can't think of anything else at the moment but will let you know if anything else comes to mind.

Ooh, I like the sound of corsettes :D anyway how about "Hand bags to sand bags"?

  8. hello oddball,

I am above petty cheap shots & will not hold it against you so i can bring it back up at any given moment from here to eternity when ever you are least expecting it:wink:

    Hi Berni,

Sorry can you say that again I must be deaf in that eye

  9. Oddball you going the Water route?Karoshi

Can't say as I've thought about until I read your thread, when it seemed to float to the top of the murky swamp that is my brain. I'm going to give it some serious thought now though as the old jeep does pink a bit when I unleash the awesome power of all those horses

  10. Just wondering if you guys had thought about water injection as a cheaper alternative to gas?

The main aim of it is to allow engines to develop more power (spitfires used it) but another plus is that it can make an engine more economical by providing a more efficient combustion, which is why your car seems to go better on a misty day.

    Short article here -

Many years ago I had a very simple set up on a MGB which consisted of no more than a plastic bottle, a plastic pipe & a nylon injector which went into a vacuum pipe. It just relied on engine vacuum to draw the water through the injector & atomise it. Things seem to be a bit more techinal now with pumps & such, but for a couple of hundred quid it may be a more viable alternative. It is WW11 technology, so is more in keeping with the vehicle. 8)
