I saw a green and white SWB a few years ago in Orpington, well I say SAW it. Even in the height of summer with bright sunshine , the camo was bloody effective!

My "new" trailer have just arrived. I will start restoration next few weeks. You will find pictures of restoration here.

These trailer was used by Norwegian army until 60`s. Then possibly sold to a farmer. in 90`s only few was still in service.

Hans, If you Google "double spring washer" you'll find a lot of hits.

Looks very good. Some nice original parts e.g the small plates on inside chassis that keep the floorboards in place when running empty.

Also the T-plate looks in good restorable condition.

 

Are you going to remove the mudguards and but 5.00 x 16 tyres on it?

I will restore it to orginal condition, and will remove the mudgards and tyres.

I have allready order new tyres

The mudguards are wery usefull, they are british upgrade, but post war. I have the seme modification on my trailer, ex Norwegian to.

in the first ca 11 minuts you can also see me close to the camera in uniform airforce.( after 11.11 minutes) talking in phone.

Excellent Ian. The HMVF 10cwt trailer "club" continues to perform!

:-D. In few weeks i will start restauration of 10cwt no 1. the trailer are nearly complite and orginal, but rusty.

I hope to find some british markings on it :-)

what would be the tire size for a MK2 trailer ? some instructions say 600x16 , the MK 1 I own has 500x16.
