Hi does anyone have a pic of the drive pully for the auxilary generator on the willys mb ? i believe it just bolted onto the back of the transfer case ,i have one but not sure if its wartime or postwar !!,cheers

Took some pics of the frame today !! need to get my finger out and get those brakes done !!! then i can get some paint on !!

Could be !! there are some big elephant shaped holes in the floor of the bed LOL and looking at the state of the woof floor i think somthing has been peeing in there for a long time!!!.

Hi just a quick update on the GMC resto ,i got these pics from Andy Gray he is our tin work genius as you will see !,the cab had to bee taken apart it was alot worse than we expected ,the frame has been shot blasted and put into primer i have all the brakes off right now but hoping to have them done in the new year !,cheers

Well it had been re painted in military colours at some point !! about 10 layers up LOL, any info would be great thanks !!

We have started to strip the paint off and the original paint is still there!! found the medical insignia ,the cross on the side and the blue hood numbers so far ! apart from that all i know is that it was owned by a film company in california for a lot of years hence the mods .She is out of the first batch of 1/2 ton ambulances 211 out of 275 according to the dodge bible DOD march 1941 !.Nick it would be great if we could get down to measure up at sompoint !! and would make life alot easier! cheers

Down to bare bones now !!,does any one know of any more WC9s in the UK ?? i would like to take a look at one as i need to make some of the boxes in the back end !!.

Well we have started the long restoration for our new WC9 Ambulance !!,we took delivery of here in August this year i think she had a nice trip from California to North Yorkshire !.

There had been some rather impressive mods on this one V8 motor fitted ! uprated rear springs with air assisted dampers and best off all a two speed overdrive fitted inbetween the normal tranny and the back axle ! she must have gained a few mph !! and all on standard brakes EEeeekk .We are hoping to get her somwhere near completion in a year or so !!! (hoping) if anyone out there has any bits and pieces i might want drop me a line im hoping to put more pics on each month !!,.

I am hoping to get the M14 somthing like for the Ponderosa !!!!,got some new tracks and sprockets coming in our container from the USA on the 15th of April so just the brakes to do paint job and new exhaust and she will be like new LOL,Berti the bulldozer might make it to the show will just have to see how i get on with it all ,going to move the good running part of the fleet up to Kens at Morley very soon !!.

Hi are they the same as the ones on the back of the M14 we have in the shed ??,you can always pop over and have a look M8 ,congrats on the new purchase by the way !! : )

Well finally got the Sherman gearbox into the workshop ! as you can see the main drive flange and gear selector shafts have been gas axed off : ( so if anyone has any of these items in there draw under the bed please let me know!.I have not worked on the Sherman gearbox before so im just taking it very slowly with lots of pics etc etc if anyone out there has any advice please dont be shy.cheers

Hi just to let you all know that we are still doing a bit to the sherman !!,nice weather was booked for sunday afternoon so we decided to set about the ring gear!! we had been putting this off due to the large amount of rusty painted bolts that we had to take out but they all yeilded in the end as you can see in the pics!!,should have space in the back of the workshop in autum i hope so we can get her shot blasted and start doing some serious work !!! thats all for now cheers

Well we managed to grab a passing loader big enough to take off the turret on the sherman the other day! at last another small step forwards enjoy the pics!!.
