  1. Morning
As a new person ( to 82s)  I am trying to learn about the vehicle hence this forum
From the experience and expertise here could you tell me perhaps as a top ten of things to identify a genuine wartime manufactured Kubelwagen.
Such as identifying a wartime engine from post war
Wartime chassis and floor as opposed to post war Beetle
How to identify wartime bodywork from repro
    Dash board
    Axles
Any help much appreciated as I look at adverts and very difficult to judge and 70/80,000 euros for a post war chassis, body and engine is pointless
    Thank you
    With photos if possible

  2. A simple way to determine if a ww2 Jeep has been rebuilt with a reproduction (Phillipines made) body tub, apart from they look very straight with no apparent dents anywhere, is to simply run fingers around the inside of the channel section around the Top edge of the body Sides, if it is a sharp edge ..it usually cuts fingertips too! ....its most likely a reproduction tub.

Original ww2 bodies have a double skinned channel section and relatively smooth edges with no burrs. There other differences but not so obvious if not familiar with the original body tub construction

    Nick thank you
