    Yes 'The Train' with Burt Lancaster. Also 'A Matter of Life and Death', 'Apocalypse Now', 'Colditz', 'All Quiet on the Western Front', plus most of those already mentioned.

    Good call on "The Train" just watched it , excellent .

    I know we have a "Worst War Film" post , but what about peoples favourites ?

     

    Mines still probably 'The Longest Day' , but honourable mentions to -

     

    'Enemy at the Gates'

    'Saving Private Ryan'

    'Fortress at War'

    Just watched 'Massacre in Rome' starring Richard Burton , really tedious , glad it only cost me 2 quid at the carboot.

    Also got ' D-Day the Sixth of June' staring Richard Todd & Robert Taylor , just a romance film , hardly any action. :-(
