I am currently building a 1/24 scale model of the mentioned vehicle, and have come across a small problem.
The radios provided in the kit do not resemble any thing I`ve seen before.
I am depicting the vehicle as used in the late 70`s- early80`s.
So, can any one show me any photos of the actual radio fit in the rear of these vehicles or point me in the right direction of some as i want to get this part as accurate as i can due to there being no roof on the vehicle and it is the focus of the model?
Many thanks in advance.

A bit like a Stephen King story.......no people.
Great models though

Obviously the two wheel drive lightweight version. :nut:

It will be a sad loss of some of our military history if/when these ships/boats are scrapped.
I went round both the Plymouth and Onyx a few years ago, along with the rest of the museum displays, it was an enjoyable visit

A land-Rover made it into WW2 in "Ice Cold in Alex" but that is the only wartime one I know of!
There was one hiding behind a bush, and a WWII Axis forces Saracan, in the film `633 Squadron `

I think it is a AEC command vehicle used by the British Army in the late 40`s and early 50`s

A three page report about the three tanks at the Budby training ground, part of Proteus traing camp, apeared in Windscreen magazine December 1988 edition. The Curchill reportedly was to be restored at bovington and then to be taken to Normandy to be used as a commeration to the D day landings. The complete Cent was to be taken to a range for use as hard target no mention was made as to the fate of the Cent Chassis (not Sherman).
What would be the chances of getting a copy of said issue, reasonable or zero?
I would like to read that article.

Very nice model again.
I admire your skill

I can remember the small, old and heavy smoking MOJO`s of 16 Tanks in Fally when i was with 7 ARMD WKSP.
I`m doing a couple of B.W Antars, the 1st one was soldered but i will use epoxy for the next one.
One is a MK3 Ballast with a Dyson trailer carrying a FV 434, the second has the semi trailer and will have a Chieftain on board.

When i was a kid, ** years ago, we used to go over to Budby Training Area in the summer hols, where we played on an old Churchill tank, an old Centurion tank and a very rusty Sherman hull.
Would any one, per chance, know what became of these wonderful old play things. I used to spend hours in the drivers seat of the Churchill, (the Cent was welded shut) it could explain why these two are my favorite tanks of all time.

Sorry to disappoint guys!! He text me the picture of the tank across this morning.. its a funny looking Sherman!! :undecided: It is interesting none the less, that's dumped out in a forest somewhere so he says?
It is a Chieftain MK10

You could always try B.W. Models or the Airfix Emergency set for a better dated Fire Engine

There is a book charting the history of `Phantom`. i will look up the title for you and post it here.
It was a very interesting read

Hello all
I don`t own a MV, i make models of them and i need some information to help me build a particular one.
I am planning on building a model of the titled vehicle, and i have found that good clear photos are a bit thin on the ground.
So, can i ask if any one has any photos, drawings etc of these vehicles, especially of the area where the trailer attaches to the tractor, the ballast box and most importantly of the trailer which i will have to almost scratch build?
May i give out many thanks in advance of any replies i might get as i know this could be a big ask

Hello Robin.
My piglet is based on the recent, well not so recent re-release by Italeri of the old ESCI 109 hardtop.
I keep trying to get hold of the ESCI 109 kits on flea bay but keep getting outbid due to the limited budget i have (i am unemployed), as i would love to get hold of the 109 softtop and the 109 Para Recce version, but i will keep trying.
I am going to try and get all my 1/35 LR`s onto bases as i think they look better displayed that way.
They are:
1. Ser2 109 GS.
2. Ser2 GS Bomb Disposal.
3. Ser2 RAF Ambulance.
4. Ser2 SAS Pink Panther
To be built i have:
1. Ser3 Ambulance.
2. Ser3 Ambulance N.I..
3. Ser3 Recce Gulf War.
4. Ser3 GS.
They are all based on the Tamiya Ambulance and Italeri/Revell kits. I can`t wait for the new kit of the Wolf/WMIK to become available.
As for the articles by Bob Morrison, i would love to read them as i think they would be very helpful.
Many thanks.
REGARDS

Am in the process of making a 1/35th AFV Club Centurion
Anybody point me in the right direction of a good source and match for British Deep Bronze Green???
Tamiya spray paint numbered TS9 is a good match, if you can find a stockist.
It was taken of the market for some silly reason but is now available again

Oily, i love it, one of my favourite vehicles:saluting::thumbsup:

That`s not a model but a real one on a giant table, i`m going green with envy :bow::thumbsup:

Like those models a lot. Given me some incentive to improve mine and get them on bases. I am working on a 1/24 piglet and i am hoping it works out well

I would have only it didn`t exist when i built mine, pity as it looks a good set. I have started doing the AFV and Revell Wiesel and Ozcelot kits

Hello Nige,
I go on both those model forums and Mil Mod site but don`t post my work on them because I don`t have the means to do so.
When i have i will play catch-up.
How`s the TM coming along?
Iain, thanks for the links they will be very useful.
I think i will have to go with Larkspur as there is a model source for these, but will have to buy a new kit to get them.
Thanks and regards
Malcolm
