I am organising, with others, an event to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the openining of RAF Ibsley ( New Forest Airfield near Ringwood Hampshire 1941-1946) I have a number of military vehicles from the local MVT group and vintage cars from a local car club. I wondered if any members lived nearby who might be willing to bring along their vehicles. The event is on July 17th at Moyles Court School ( The old Officers Mess ) and we hope to have a fly past of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and other privately owned aircraft. I can give much greater details if you are interested in attending. RAF Ibsley was used by the RAF and USAF during the war.

I am currenty try to find information about my grandfather's First World War Sevice. I know he spent time at Kempton Park and was in the Army Service Corps Motor Transport division and was a voluntary Reserve. My father told me many years ago that his father drove military vehicles during the war, including ambulances. I am interested to know what military vehicles were likely to be at Kempton Park. I have a couple of pictures of Kempton Park in 1918 and one shows a FWD lorry, which I think is from the USA. Any information would be gratefully received.
