1. Hello all

I am off to Lytham st anne's near Blackpool on the 16th of feb to collect a project vehicle, we are coming up from Dorset so thought we would like to spend a couple days looking around the area but will need to park my loaded trailer out of the way for a couple of days whilst we are there. Trailer is 21ft long and about 7ft wide. Outside is fine.

Any of you kind hearted folks in the area able to help me out with this please? pm me any ideas.

    Thanks in advance, Nigel :)

Try Jacksons coaches south shore 01253 349731 you should be ok there secure compound.

  2. Would Definately recommend David Crouch, good to deal with and does have some Foden Recovery in at 15k.

(excellent value don't know what they cost when new)

  3. Does anyone have dimensions of the drivers foot well please, the floor plate that the clutch and brake peddles come up through? I think there is a hinged cover for filling the brake master cylinder on it.

  4. The tester's manual is here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/consolidated-hgv-inspection-manual-2013

In fact, the reasons for failure are unchanged:

A tyre

    a. with a cut which is deep enough to reach the ply or cords, and is more than 25mm long, or 10% of the section width, whichever is greater.

**b. with a lump, bulge or tear caused by separation or partial failure of its structure, including any lifting of the tread rubber.

*c. with exposed ply or cord.

Thanks for the info.Sean.

Looking at the info you have I should be ok for the test.

  5. Thanks for the info.a tricky one this as the Tyres are new old stock.

And as the truck has to have a hgv test,I am most likely to see the same vosa tester,as in our area we now have to use authorised testing facilities.

The 12x20 are a big heavy tubed tyre and look like only age cracks on the outside not on the inner,if I did manage to get some replacement new old stock I think I will just have the same tyre age problem.

Anyone know if possible to buy new 12x20 Tubed bar grips.

    Thanks.
