  1. Hi Paul ,

Have you paid the small fee and had the planning dept come to you for a pre application meeting . If you consider the application to be delicate then that would either confirm you views or relax you !

If you consider it delicate , then your appointment of a good planning consultant preferably ex the planning dept you are dealing with will be money well spent in my experience.

  2. Blimey , a good pump in there day , we ran both Villiers and Briggs Versions before Warsop developed their submersible range. Made in Edenbridge not far from us , and I recall having a good service / spares dept there.

downfault I recall dreaded need to prime them and groundworkers loosing the priming screw bung on top of the impeller housing.

There might be one in the depths of my yard if I remember right, I'll PM you if I find it.

Nice to see it John. I remember this as an operating recovery truck at Dixons yard near Hunsdon when I was a kid, I'm so glad it has made it into preservation. My dad drove Diamond T's for a bit during the war and every time we drove past the yard it would trigger a few "I remember when " moments.

We collected the Diamond from Dixons same old yard it had worked from and sat in since 1966 ! when she was bought from Ruddington sales !  I'm told it replaced a Matador they ran before that.

The old forum was totally outdated, it needed a new (and pricey) license, we were forced to move it to a new server where it didn't work which would mean weeks of downtime and development costs. On top of that, we had to pay way more money (monthly!).

I'm really disappointed that after all the work we put on to keep the forum running over the years and all the trouble we had moving to this new place to get this feedback.

Hi Joris , many thanks for explaining the reason why , I like many others struggle with IT change , and I can liken the use of the old format to driving your old MV in the dark where you know where all the controls are ! The new format is similar to jumping in an unfamiliar vehicle equally in the dark , where I can't quite find where the lights or indicators are !  five miles up the road all will be fine , and the same will be for the new forum layout.

Thank you and your team for all the effort needed to make the transition.

  5. I bought one a long time ago , British army with central stowed ramps , the dreaded 10.50 x 13 tyres though which are in scares supply nowadays. Vacuum brakes , but I recall a much shorter drawbar than yours has , I reckon yours has been extended looking at the photo.

towed well but I recall with the narrow track front axle it could dance about when empty with a scammell on full tilt upfront !

  6. i bought a farm trailer with these rims and would be deliverd to me end of the year

and that trailer is breaking for parts and the split rims are for sale

Many thanks for the reply , perhaps you could make contact when you are in possession of them , thanks.
