  1. Hi,

The seals are leaking on both front outer tracta joints of my Ferret.

Who is the best source for the seals?

Is anybody in the South Yorkshire area willing to give me a hand fitting the seals?

I am more than happy to pay for your time etc.

    Any help appreciated.

    Regards Chris

  2. Reflecting back your probably right Lee Enfield, there were some others around at the time but were expensive £7k plus.

Also the day I advertised, CMV March ed came out with a full spread on the merits of Ferrets.

The other factors maybe that there isn't that much for sale up this way (the north).

  3. I sold this one earlier this year, It looks better than it is because I took the time to wash it, and take a good photo! It was bear in the fighting compartment. No MG mount bins etc. I paid £3100 sold £5100 after 2 weeks.

    Its all about presentation!

  4. HI Folks,

There are a couple of very cheap Ferrets on Milweb! A Mk 1 and Mk1/2, both on £3250. They are situated in the south! If they were up north I would buy both, definitely some profit in them.

I know some people on here have stated they would like a Ferret! I doubt you see many at this price.

  5. When I test my 1937 BSA M21, the guy has a look round it, sounds the horn, then puts down that he as road tested it. We then have a nice cup of tea, so that the necessary time as elapsed for the computer. :-D

I claim exemption for the Ferret! I did approach a couple of local garages regarding MOT and they didn't seem too keen.

There was a jeep as well that was advertised and sold before.

Both vehicles were classified ads, and very low prices. also sellers have 0 feedback. In fact this one only joined ebay today!

as anybody else come across these vehicles?

  7. Hi,

It means you can cock the weapon and when you pull the trigger it will click, most weapons deactivated after 1995 will not work at all.

I have a post 95 Stirling that as been completley butchered so the slide just moves back and forth.

Brens are different post 95 still dry fire because of the nature of operation.

    Regards Chris

  8. Hi,

My Ferret appears in series 2 of the league of gentleman, can't remember if its episode 5 or 6. It is a Mk 2/3 but the previous owner used to lift the turret off and fit Mk 1 conversion for a change! so in the the series it is a Mk 1.

It also features on page 49 of Pat Wares book Ferret in British Army Service (VYJ 763).

It is now painted sand and green.

Apparently there is a photo of the Ferret in service, but I don't know which book, if anybody knows please let me know, the military reg is 00 DC 03.

    Regards Chris
