    Yes, I bought both, both where from Portuguese Army.

    It's an Chevrolet C60L very good inside/outside,

    only portuguese Army changed engine for Perkins Diesel.

  2. Well if you really aren't that happy with the second one........:D What sort of things are you looking for ? The first one looks like turn the key and go. Not jealous, no really, not jealous at all...honestly! Don't tell me the old Rover in the background is yours as well?

     

    No, the Rover 100 from 1960 is not mine .......

    For the best Tilly I need the rear cargo hood top and size of bowes (tubes ) to make them here.....

    For the other one I will need plenty of things, like

     

    -Rear door

    -headlights

    -side lights

    -Front and rear bumpers

    -Radiator

    -Air filter

    -front bonnet AUSTIN emblem

    and other small things

     

     

     

    But principal to start painting best Tilly is the rear hood cargo top ...who can made it ???'

    This photos are from the best one,

    I thought to buy one Tilly here in Portugal, and look for it,

    so found two and bought them....

    Portuguese Army have plenty of them, but all have been scrapped.

    Photos from the second one is whorst shape, missing some parts......

    I'am Fernando from Portugal, the guy who bought 200 Mutt's, and have them for sale.

    I just bought not one but the only know two Tillys survivers in Portugal.

    I need some few parts for the best one. It's in very good original shape and mechanical good.

    Even with some of original tools.

    1- FIAT 15 Ter

    2- Kelly-Springfield

     

    In fire brigades, keep inside,and restored.

     

    I own an Latil TAR for restoring missing many parts and keep outside

  6. Those are very interesting photographs. When did Portugal dispose of their Napiers? Are there any survivors perhaps?

    Hi Tim,

     

    No Napiers arrrives our days.

    In WWI Portugal used Napiers, FIAT's 15-TER, Kelly's Springfields and LATIL's TAR.

The 15 TER does not have a fan, the air being pulled through the radiator by the vaned flywheel ( all cast as one) , also and often missing is the engine under tray which along with the bonnet makes a complete 'tunnel' for the air. The flywheel carries the multi disc clutch which runs in a mixture of oil and paraffin which in turn most does not stay in there for very long although having covered considerable distances in mine it never gave any trouble.
