  1. Chris Wilkinson had 2 Grizzlies in the 80s- early 90s, one Shop No 7- an early model without applique armour on the hull went to Belgium. The other Shop No129 was a later model with the hull armour thickened in lieu of the applique armour- don't know where that one is now.

  3. Ok, after talking to mate in the NLBA on saturday, seriously thinking of getting a Land Rover. Thinking long wheelbase, gonna have in the next couple of months about a grand to spend, guessing I'm really looking at a tatty runner for that kind of cash? Any major pitfalls to look out for? Reserved a book from the library about army land rovers, hopefully get that next week but any advice? Don't want a civvie one made up to be ex army, want a proper one!!:D

  4. Excellent photos, always loved the old Shermans, no-doubt cos Chris Wilkinson had them!! I remember him selling one to a guy in Holland, think it would have been between 93 and 95? And I don't know where his other one is now, I last saw it at his house a couple of years ago. Gutted that I lost my photos of the yard.

  5. Excellant day yesterday & sun is shining today...

Two seperate attractions.. we did try a combined ticket for a couple of years but we had complaints that some had done the bunker before, some didn't want to do the Bunker & some only come to see the Bunker & not visit the MV show... it works out at £35.00 for family ticket for the MV Show & Bunker if you wanted to do both which is a lot cheaper than a lot of other attractions...

Book an MV in & you go round the Bunker for free...

Not cheap when you don't have the cash!! Currently havn't got a MV, hopefully, that will change for next year!!!

  6. I remember the time someone melted the tyres on the Humber armoured car, taking it down to dover for the bethune run, cos they towed it at 60 odd miles an hour. And someone setting fire to their face using a full jerry can to prime the carbs on said MV!!!
