  1. Hi. The GMC Airborne Tipper that I am looking after for my friend has incorrect rear lights fitted. I know they differ from the GS body'd truck, has anyone got any pictures of what they should be like? Thanks. Mark.
  2. Hi guys, I have just discovered this site so I thought I'd sign up. My name is Mark Boldry, I live in York and Knaresborough (don't ask....). I have a 1942 Ford GPW which I have owned for 24 years and I have (on loan) a 1944 GMC CCKW353 Airborne Tipper which has been in my possesion for about 5 years. The Jeep is in need of it's second restoration and the GMC is on the road but I only get to cover about 400 miles in that each year. I hope that this year will see some progress with the Jeep restoration, allocation of time is my problem, the GMC will require some attention to the brakes and some tinworm treatment before she is out this season. I have been involved in MV clubs and collections for some years now and have driven and worked on many different types. I ran the restoration workshop for AF Budge in the heydays of his massive collection. Ahhh good memories...... I'm sure I'll get to post on this site from time to time, and perhaps I'll get to meet some of you in the near future. I'll be going to a meeting of Jeep owners on Tuesday 10th Jan near Thorne, I think Mark Askew is involved with the organising of it. All the best for 2006. Mark.
