  1. Hi MB, thanks for your compliment and warm welcome. I look forward to many happy hours of browsing.
  2. I am just struggling with memory a bit nowadays, but I am pretty sure that my old friend Clive bought this from me, when I was sorting the disposals, and I notice he still has one on his credits.
  3. Here is an interesting link I found. As I knew nothing of these cars. http://www.btinternet.com/~ian.a.paterson/equiparmourarmouredcars.htm
  4. Hi RSM, (self appointed, I'll wager), Ha ha. I do miss those days so much, but when the vehicles and mountains of kit had to go, I walked away. I have always dreaded the thought of being a hanger on. I hope all your family are well and would appreciate you passing on my regards. Well, I too must get some shut eye. speak soon.
  5. Another shot of GMC with The 50 Ca. Browning in prominence. Just the Ford Jeep to come now. Later.

  7. Hi abn Deuce, I sold this one to a Gentleman in Jersey, bit of a saga actually, because he came over to buy the other one which had the gun and mount etc. But I had trouble with it just before I shipped it, I wasn't immediately able to fathom it, so phoned him and offered him this one, with the gun and mount swapped on to it. He had seen both when over here and agreed, ironically enough, this one started playing up regulator wise on the way to The Ferry at Southampton, but as everything was booked and in hand , we proceeded with the shipment and sorted it out with the Gentleman later. It is amazing, as they were normally trouble free trucks.
  8. This picture is of the two GMC CCKW 353 B's. XYJ 571, was our restoration, XYJ 577 was primarily restored by Mick with assistance from Rex Ward, I believe, the further titivated by My Brother and I , and A 50 ca. Gun, Ring and Mount added. XYA 577, is an 'Air Portable' Model which had been re-bodied with a later, French Made Body. It had a steel floor, whilst XYA 571 had a Wooden floor. Both now disposed of.
  9. Hi Folks, this is one of the GMC's My Brother and I restored and rallied in the early/mid nineties. Since disposed of.
  10. Hi 6X6, thanks for that, I will pop over there and upload the full photo of Avatar vehicle and a couple more maybe. If I have got it wrong, I am sure the Mods will give me a rocking. (sic).
  11. Hi 6x6, thanks for your welcome. Prior to his demise, my Brother and I restored that GMC 353, and rallied it in the South West. I was looking to see if there was a photo gallery on site to upload a couple of our pictures, bu have not yet found one.
  12. Please help, do you know this Man, he is wanted for blagging free lunches of Kedgeree, Chilli Con Carne etc. He has been off my radar for a few years now.
