I have just joined, my name is Steve Bruce and I live in Pitlochry, Perthshire. I am interested in Military History particularly WW1 and WW2. I am a competent mechanic, in particular I have an ability to keep old vehicles moving. I can weld and paint. I have recently bought an ex RAF AEC matador rolling chassis from 1944/45 and am enjoying the process of aquiring the missing bits, freeing things off and getting the engine running. I would like to restore it to RAF flatbed configuration as it was at the end of the war. I joined this forum for that reason and I hope to get relevant info and maybe contribute anything of potential value I learn along the way.
