Hi Sam
Yes I do have a complete set of bands 4 of the smaller and the long thin one , do you need the spindle rubber ? I have those aswell . Sorry I don’t have the bump stops , I made some up from a piece of round solid rubber I found laid about
cheers
Dave
Yes please, and it’s okay I’ll see if I can make one aswell. How much are you looking at for the set and other bits?

Hi Dave,
if you can’t find the throttle plug it’s okay, I’m still happy to buy the other parts
also do you have any rubber bump stops and all the other bands as all of my rubber bits have perished?

That’s an interesting story about your flea and I’m not sure I’d be able to craft a kickstart yet but I think for now I will buy a repro until I can get hold of an original but thank you anyway. Also I got my flea back today from sprayers I’ll put a picture on so far... and thank you Ron for magic metals number I’ll give them a call later.
would there be any manuals out there that tell you how to assemble and disassemble the bike as this is my first restoration 😬

SOrry should of looked at your message in more detail Ron I see you said they’re good haha was looking at the images too much

I was very close to getting an original kickstart last week from an owner with 4 complete and 1 incomplete for parts but the man sold the bike as a restoration project which was fair enough but he has helped me with a couple other bits. That’s why I posted on here asking if anyone would possibly have an original.
Are magic metals kickstarts good? It’s not to be cheeky it’s just I’ve never bought from there before.

The bike came from a friend a few miles from me. He got a call on day saying the owner of a barn wanted to get rid of all his bikes (Indians, norton’s bsa’s Etc) or he would scrap them so my friend decided with his brother he would take what he could in the small van (the flea mostly complete and the ML engine) and he would come back the following week in a lorry for the rest and when he came back following week they were all gone and the man scrapped the lot.

I suppose not, it’s certainly not one I’ve seen before on anything else

I was told it was either post war/ civilian as my bike was overhauled in service until 1953 i think.

Hi everyone,
has anyone out there got an original kickstart for a WD flying flea? I’m trying to use as least repro parts as possible for my restoration project.
