  1. Hi, you can come and view the Matador whenever you like, preferably soon, as am looking for a quick sale. Am situated at, Lydiard Millicent, sn5 3ld, Nr Swindon. Phone, 07835920422 Hear from you soon, Mark
  2. Now only ***£3000*** the PAIR! Will consider any serious offer that will see them sold in the next few days and then moved in good time (I can leave them in a secure location while the buyer arranges transport if I know they are sold). I do not want the hassle of moving them to alternative storage and am under pressure of time. They will be moved by middle of next week if no one is interested so now is the time to get yourself a bargain. For more details and phone no. see original add "for sale Matador and american army box trailer" Mark
  3. On inspection the chassis will require some work, and am very keen to seal a quick deal, this really is a give away, now only £3000 the PAIR! Will consider any serious offer that will see them gone in the next few days. I do not want the hassle of moving them to alternative storage and am under pressure of time. To answer the phone inquiry, oil pressure 45 lbs at tick over and 60 lbs when running at higher revs. For more details and phone no. see original add "for sale Matador and american army box trailer" Mark
  4. This is the same matador advertised with the american army box trailer. Had plenty of views and a couple of calls but if not sold rapidly I will have to move them to alternative storage so am now asking £4000 the pair, which would be a good price for the Matador alone. Once they are moved I will not be under so much pressure to sell. Mark
  5. Hi Mal, there are a couple of photos with my add for the matador where you can see the bar. They don't really give an idea of the bend, but give a good idea of the size and construction. I'll try to post a photo showing the bend tomorrow evening. Mark
  6. Swan neck rigid towing bar for sale, heavy duty, will cope with most trucks/buses , but maybe not a tank! £150. Situated near west Swindon. Call Mark 07835920422
  7. Gearbox for Matador 7.7 £150. Situated near west Swindon. Call Mark 07835920422
  8. I have a Matador for sale. Has the 7.7 engine. Everything (mechanical) is in working order but needs a good service. Starts well, builds up air, winch works. Been sitting a bit long and the cab frame needs attention. Cab previously rebuilt in ally, which is all good and should keep costs/effort reasonable. Doors need rebuild but have all parts needed, glass, hinges, winder mechanisms. The body (not at all original) needs taking off and throwing away. Comes with winching skid pans. Presently on temporary tank as original tank too dirty and has a small leak. Does not come with batteries (have borrowed some for the sale). 1950s american army drawbar box trailer, box about 20ft. Super high ground clearance, coil spring suspension, will go anywhere (ish) the Matador can go. Sides and roof in thick double skinned ally, totally rigid, solid as a rock. Air over hydraulic brakes, (needs a good service, I have a spare servo). Was fitted for living, but the weather has got in and destroyed the interior but this has not affected the structure. Looking very green at the moment, and the patchy bits in the photo are where I was getting too fussy and trying to smooth out every little dent before painting which I never got round to doing. I've owned them since 1990. Would be a good restoration project for someone that should require time and effort rather than massive expense. Am looking for a quick sale so only £5000 the lot, the pair match very well but will split, however for obvious reasons would like to see the trailer gone first. Swan neck rigid towing bar also for sale £150. Also have spare gearbox for the Matador £150. Situated near west Swindon. Call Mark 07835920422
  9. Hi, I'm Mark, have browsed the site many times, finally joined as the day has come when I have to pass on my Matador and 1950's american box trailer. It's strange how attached you get to these things, it's not like passing on your last car, and in truth I have not done them any favors by waiting this long so must do something now while it is still a relatively simple job to bring them up to scratch.
