  1. I posted this in the Heads Up forum but I realize it should be here. I have a 1943 Cat R4 for sale. It runs but may have a bad rod bearing so I don't put a load on it. I am asking $4,500 and it is located in NE Kansas. More info is listed in the Heads Up thread
  2. I have a Cat R4 dozer for sale. It was originally purchased from Military Surplus by the road contractor my Dad worked for at the end of WWII. They used it in quarries around Northeast and North Central Kansas. Dad told the story of how he unloaded it from a rail car when they took delivery. It was OD green and had the serial number on the hood panel. Dad painted it yellow but the numbers can still be seen if the hood is wet. I acquired it from the contractor after it had been out of service for several years. I can offer more info to anyone interested. It has a LeTorneau blade and double drum winch. It does run but I suspect a bad rod bearing so I don't use it, it is parked inside my shed. I have a couple of original operators manuals and parts books for it as well. I am asking $4500 for it and it would need to be picked up here.
  3. Thank you!!! I will be posting info there after I fulfill the requirements for posting.
  4. Hello, I am Tom and I am in Kansas. I joined back in January but have just now decided to go forward with this. I have a 1943 Caterpillar R4 for sale and I will post it in the appropriate location as I learn my way around. This was a military surplus machine and my dad was the first one to operate it when it was delivered to the quarry they were working in. Dad served in the US Army from 1941 to 1945.
