  1. Hi all. So the previous owner of my Ferret rebuilt the steering gear and I am afraid something is wrong. When I turn the steering wheel to the left, the front wheels turn right. Turn the steering wheel to the right, the front wheel go left. I have looked at everything and I cant seem to understand why it would be like this. I would think driving would be terribly difficult if the truck goes the opposite direction of the steering wheel. Could something be assembled wrong in the steering gear? Any help would be much appreciated.

  2. I am in need of a banjo bolt for the brake expander on my Ferret. These seem to be odd compared to US bolts in that there are 2 sizes on the shaft. The diameter of the bolt is larger just under the head and then it slims down when it gets to the threads. All the US banjo bolts I have seen and can find are one size all the way up. Any tips on sourcing one of these for an MK 1/2 Ferret? The threads are 7/16 x 20 but the overall diameter that goes through the brass fitting is larger. Thanks in advance for any help!

  3. I am trying to rebuild a Ferret that was taken apart by the previous owner. I am going to need lots of help :)

Today's question is about the suspension pins. Could someone tell me the order of parts at each pin station on the suspension? I have the manuals but the pics are just not clear enough.

So the pin goes into the bracket on the hull. When it exits, whats between it and the a-arm? I have o-rings and these really odd looking washers. The washers are square with a raised round area. Are these shims? If so, which side of the arm bushing do they go on? I cant fit seem to fit one on both sides. Having a "shim" only on one side leaves just the oring on the other side to get smashed. Where do the o-rings fit in here? Help! Close pics of suspension of an assembled Ferret would be very helpful as well.

    Thanks!
