  1. I've always loved armor. I bought and restored an M16A1 halftrack which is now on display at the D-day museum in New Orleans. Also I bought and sold others as well as parts for them. I was Curator at the Admiral Nimitz Museum for 13 years (left in 1999) and did all the restoration and conservation work on the vehicles in the collection. At the time I left, the vehicles included M3 and M3A1 Stuart, M4A3 Sherman, LVT4, M16A1 Half Track, Type 95 Ha-Go, Type 97 Shinhoto Chi-Ha, DUKW, WC21, CCKW, PT309, FM2 Wildcat, TBM, Japanese Rex & VAL, M4 37mm AT gun, various pieces of Japanese artillery including 3 Type 88 A/A guns and a 25#. Some of these were recovered from the Pacific Battlefields, others from impact areas on firing ranges some were donated and others were purchased. I did have fun!
