  1. Hi all, I`m changing out my alternator and noticed the power steering belt very loose. Decided to buy all belts and replace them whilst the alternator was off. As per usual there is always something going against me. The original belt i found fitted seems to be a 10mm x 925 Gate belt. Its either worn or not the correct belt. I say this as the adjuster is at max and the belt sits in the v pulley very deep. I google and came up with a belt ERC675 for the rover V8 that measures 13 x 925. This sits in the pulley better however I cant get it to fit over the pulleys. Im not a mechanic but I cant see how it would fit. I have backed the adjuster right back. In my opinion its because of the pulleys on the snatch. The pulleys it has to get over are actually larger in diameter than the one it sits on. Any ideas or confirmation of the belt others have installed for the power steering. Thanks Colin
  2. Hi all, Recently got myself a Snatch, its a bit rough but that suits me. Its currently my daily driver Hoping to tidy up the interior and the electrics as my first task. Its got the Erbacher air con but its not connected up/working at the moment. The dash is also a mess with alot of holes etc where stuff has been removed. No plans to restore it as such to original condition just enjoy driving something a little different. Its no longer in dessert colours. My first question is about the rear door. How is it supposed to be locked? There seems to be a cable operated lever at the top of the door, however I think its been tampered with and the cable disappears behind the lining out of sight. Not removed it yet. If i push the bar on the Panamec coupling down it seems to lock the handle however going over bumps resets it and the door has swung open a few times. Colin
